Eco Friendly
Eco-friendly refers to materials or design techniques that actively seek to avoid harming the environment. Products whose materials are grown or manufactured with a much lower environmental impact. Products created in the United States have a lower carbon footprint. Products that are manufactured from regenerated, recycled, or upcycled materials.
Sustainable Materials
Sustainable materials encompass more than just recyclable velvets and cardboard containers. There are intentional choices you can make, such as investing in more durable and environmentally friendly materials.
Many woods are long-lasting and eco-friendly, including mango wood, which grows faster than most other woods. Solid woods such as oak, beech, and ash are quite durable, so they will last a long time in your home. Other related materials, such as rattan, cane, and cord, use an incredibly sustainable process. They grow quickly, requiring only 20-30 years to reach maturity, which is a fraction of the time required for other species of wood. The process of generating rattan, cane, and rope is also very environmentally friendly. Rattan, for example, is sun-dried and 100% biodegradable.
